Little Engines is continuing more than sixty years of tradition by offering one-half inch scale steam locomotives.  In addition to the castings listed, we can also obtain finished and tested boilers.  Plans for these engines are contained in a forty-eight page booklet covering the constructions of all four engines that may be built from these castings.  Even though these engines will pull up to 350 pounds, they are not recommended for riding unless you are on level, elevated track.  Little Engines half inch scale steam locomotives also lend themselves quite well to backyard garden railway settings.  With the popularity of this scale increasing, we are proud to offer four models in one-half inch scale; the 4-6-2 Pacific, the 4-6-4 Hudson, the 4-8-2 Mountain and the 4-8-4 Northern.  In addition, we have expanded the inventory of investment-cast detail parts in 1/2 inch scale.
